What Can You See on a Private Tsukiji, Kappabashi, and Asakusa Walking Tour in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report

I guided a group visiting from North America. They had already been sightseeing for several days, so they listed the places they still wanted to visit. From that list, I guided them through Tsukiji, Kappabashi Kitchen Town, and Asakusa, and scheduled the tour to end in front of the Japanese Sword Museum, which we would not have time to guide.

The day before, they had joined the Shibuya Toilet Project tour and responded enthusiastically to the architecture of Kengo Kuma. They had also seen the film "Perfect Days." At Kappabashi Kitchen Town, they purchased chopsticks and a kitchen knife and were delighted with them.

As a guide, I found it a great pleasure to guide guests who had studied Japan thoroughly and showed such genuine interest.

I’m Yoko Kusumoto, a government lisenced English-speaking guide.
I have been living in Tokyo for more than 20 years, and it’s my pleasure to show you around Tokyo. I recommend Meiji Shrine and Asakusa if you are first time in Japan. I also recommend off-the-beaton path spots like Fukagawa Fudodo and Gotokuji Temple(lucky cat temple).
I was born and brought up in Kamakura, where the first shogun’s government was established. It will be my pleasure to introduce you my hometown as well.

I live with my husband and one teenage son.
I like traveling, flowers, sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, and exploring Tokyo.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon.
