The guests were visiting Japan on a cruise trip from Europe. Since I had not been informed in advance about accessibility needs, I discussed the itinerary with the guests when we met. After strolling along the canal, we took a taxi to the Tenguyama Ropeway.

One of the guests wished to buy ceramics, and although Otaru is known as a city of glass, we found a craft shop where they purchased many pieces of pottery by local artists. The guests also wanted to enjoy delicious sushi, so I made a reservation at a small sushi restaurant I often use. The guests said it was the most delicious food they had eaten in Japan, and they were very satisfied with the attentive service, including staff helping with wheelchair movement and calling a taxi.
