What Is a Private Himeji Castle Tour Like from Osaka? A Licensed Guide's Report
While staying in Osaka, the guests learned that Himeji was nearby and decided to visit on short notice. They were surprised by how different Himeji Castle was from Osaka Castle. Since walking was a bit difficult for the guests, we proceeded at a very relaxed pace, taking plenty of time. We were not able to reach the top, but I was glad to be able to show them at least part of the castle interior. As the heat and humidity were rising, I gave my explanations at Koko-en while keeping walking to a minimum. The guests seemed to truly enjoy themselves and said they had a wonderful day. I am filled with gratitude that they made the trip to Himeji.

Our guide Chiyuki was the best part of the trip. Super earnest, so generous with her knowledge of the history and culture. The tour had a lot to cover, from the sake making area to the Kobe Herb Garden Ropeway on the opposite side of the city, all in one afternoon. Miles to cover but never once did we feel rushed. We had lovely conversations along the way and tons of pictures to take home. Last but not least, when we requested for her recommendations of Kobe beef places, she pointed us to a top notch Kobe Beef Teppanyaki option – while prudently ensuring it was a value for money experience. You are the best Chiyuki – grateful for your hospitality and gracious hosting.

which was fabulous and the for a Kibe beef lunch, then toured Chinatown and did some
