What Is a Private Day Tour of Miyajima Like? A Licensed Guide's Report

The guests were visitors from South America, and they were very cheerful and often shared jokes throughout the tour. Today the walking pace was slow, so we adjusted the plan accordingly. Originally, the plan was to visit the Great Torii Gate of Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine, then return to the city to see Hiroshima Castle and Shukkeien Garden. However, after we met, the guests said they had seen a website showing how beautiful Daishoin Temple was and wanted to visit there. Also, on the train heading to Miyajima, when I handed over a map of the island, the guests said they wanted to take the ropeway up Mount Misen to enjoy the view from the mountain as well. As a result, the day became a full day of sightseeing in Miyajima. Since the walking pace was slow, the guests suggested using a taxi on Miyajima, so I called a taxi company, but I found out that recently there is only one taxi available on the island. Nevertheless, by combining walking and the taxi, we were able to complete the Miyajima tour just as the guests had hoped. For lunch, they enjoyed fresh oysters very much. The guests kindly told me that it had been a very fulfilling day.
