Title: What's a Private Tsukiji and Asakusa Walking Tour Like in Tokyo? A Licensed Guide's Report
The guests were a group visiting from North America. Some of the guests were visiting Japan for the first time. Among the various options I suggested, they chose Tsukiji and Asakusa. At Tsukiji, they were amazed by the wide variety of food products on sale. They purchased a pack of dried flying fish stock (ago-dashi). In Asakusa, they enjoyed strolling along Nakamise-dori. Along the way, they had tapioca drinks and shaved ice. They asked me to guide them to a recommended lunch spot, so we parted ways in front of a yakiniku restaurant, and the tour came to an end.

A lot of foreigners are visiting Japan, but I would like them to think, “I am glad that I learned about Japanese culture and enjoyed it. I want to come again.” I want you to have a fun experience as well as to guide you to the standard sightseeing courses. I’m always trying to be able to guide like that. And I’m also looking for an Instagramable point that will be your memory. After graduating from university, I have been in Sapporo for 16 years, Osaka for 4 years, Sendai for 2 years, and Tokyo for a total of 12 years. But now, I’m mainly guiding in the Tokyo area due to living here. I especially love Ueno, Asakusa, and Kawagoe. They are cities where you feel the history and are full of people’s kindness. Masa was amazing and was on time at our hotel and showed us how to use the underground trains and then took us to Meiji Jingu Shrine, Imperial Palace/East Garden, Asakusa, Tsukiji outer market, Tokyo Tower, Harajuku, and Shibuya. Masa was very informative about each stop and took lots of pictures for us. It was a big day but Masa was understanding that two 70 year old ladies needed to rest now and the.

Awesome Tokyo tour with Masa
My inclination is that: we can just figure this out on my own; we don’t need a guide. But my wife wanted to get one, and it worked out so well. Masa was so friendly and knowledgeable and attuned to our 16 year old son. We learned so much and had a much more rich experience than just “winging it”. Highly recommended!
